
John Goutell, Esq. is a Of Counsel to Parker Law Group, and brings more than 24 years of experience practicing law to your case.
John prides himself on focusing on his clients’ needs, developing personalized solutions that help his clients navigate difficult situations involving the law and the courts. John provides expert counsel, strategic planning, outstanding legal drafting skills, extensive courtroom experience and valuable advice to individuals during an emotional and often life-changing time.
John always starts by listening to his clients and identifying their priorities. John then uses his wisdom, advocacy and legal skills to further the best interest of the client.
John believes strongly that litigation is a last resort – although sometimes litigation must be initiated to bring the other side to the table to negotiate a mutually satisfactory resolution. However, when compromise isn’t possible, John will work tirelessly to get his clients the results they deserve and John has the skills necessary to win your case in the courtroom.
John’s practice areas include civil litigation, general business representation, marijuana licensing and administrative defense, and family law. John obtained his law degree from the University of Denver and obtained his BA in English from the University of Colorado.
John and his wife Megan, who is also an attorney, live in Parker with their five children. John and Megan met in law school, and they were the first Moot Court Team from the University of Denver, College of Law, to ever qualify for the National Finals Moot Court: Negotiation. They came in 2nd in local qualifying, 1st in Regionals, and finished 6th at the National Finals.
Before becoming a lawyer, for ten years John was a professional golfer, PGA Class A member who played the Lone Star, Space Coast and other mini-tours, and worked at The Country Club at Castle Pines and Columbine Country Club as a Teaching Professional.
In his spare time John enjoys any kind of saltwater fishing, military history, beekeeping, soap making and adventuring with his family.
