Amy came to Colorado from San Antonio, TX with her family in 1990, then ended up settling in Douglas County in the early 2000s. After a successful career in banking and raising her two boys, Amy changed careers and began working for the State of Colorado. Through her work with the Division of Insurance, Public Utilities Commission, and Department of Revenue, Amy brings a background of legislative and policy analysis, as well as a wholistic approach to the creation and implementation of law.
This passion for law prompted Amy to pursue a legal education, and in July of 2022, she received her Juris Doctor from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. Although Amy continues to be fascinated by legislation, she has enjoyed shifting her focus to helping the community in the areas of estate planning, probate, guardianships, and small business affairs.
In her free time, Amy can be found in the kitchen trying new recipes or out on a golf course with her sons.
